Ancient Battles at the Wargames Holiday Centre

Just got back from an excellent weekend of Wargames using "To the a Strongest" rule and hosted by Simon Miller and Mark Freeth. Four Games played in all

Game No 1- Republican Romans vs Successors-massive table! About 200 points per side, Romans lost

Game No 2. Spartans vs Athenians. Smaller game this time

Game No 3. Huns vs Romans. A scenario game. Huns  with 120 points try to defeat a disordered roman force (160 points) and steal the baggage, but narrow custody to the Romans. Spot the very nicely painted Goth cavalry

Game no 4. Greeks vs Macedonians. Greeks sitting on a hill defeat the advancing pike blocks.

Some lovely-looking armies there. What rules?

Just couldn't pry you off that hill, Barry! Super fun, eh?

Best, Simon

Fantastic armies, would have loved to have been there but there is that little puddle between you guys and myself in the states.

I love the rules too. I'd post this on Simon's site but for some reason it never lets me get to the Leave your comment section.

Thanks for taking the pics!

Sorry about that Joseph; it's Google plus, has it's pros but also its cons. I'm really glad you love the rules! Best, Simon
